Governor Hochul has spent her career fighting for New York

Governor Kathy Hochul grew up in Buffalo in a working-class family, learning the value of hard work from her parents. Her father worked in a steel plant by day while getting his education by night, and her mother raised six children. These early lessons inspired Kathy to pursue public service.

Governor Hochul's career started as a student organizer at Syracuse University. She served on the Hamburg Town Board and as Erie County Clerk, working to make a difference in the lives of her children and her community.

The front page of a newspaper called the Daily Orange with a headline that reads 1978: a productive year for the student association

After flipping a deep red congressional district, Governor Hochul fought tirelessly to protect health care for working families. She was later elected Lieutenant Governor of New York, where she visited all 62 counties every year to make sure every New Yorker had a voice.

Now, as the first woman Governor of New York, she is working every day to move our state forward, from fighting to make our communities safer to creating good-paying jobs in tech and manufacturing.

But there’s still a lot to be done. We need your help to keep this progress going. Can you chip in to support Governor Hochul's fight for a better New York?
