Did you see this big news?

Did you see this? Kill buyers are running out of "product" before our eyes … and with your support, we will shutter the cruel horse slaughter industry for good.

Please make a gift to support our investigations this year. We have thousands of miles of ground to cover, and it's not just horses who need us. Mama cows and calves, sheep, pigs, and puppies are waiting for us to expose what’s happening to them too. Together, we can be the reason they are finally free from abuse and neglect.

P.S. The image attached below was taken during a past investigation into Canada's Viande Richelieu plant. It shows a horse destined for slaughter, left in the "kill box" during a lunch break. It's a tragic sight, but I wanted you to know the type of cruelty we're up against, and what you're helping put a stop to.

HELP US EXPOSE ABUSE LOCKED BEHIND CLOSED DOORS

SUPPORT ANIMALS

Viande Richelieu is one of the toughest horse slaughter plants we've ever tried to investigate. This is the sign we're met with every time we've tried, but we've been on enough investigations to know why. They're hiding torture. They're hiding suffering. They're hiding death.

Besides Bouvry Exports, Viande Richelieu is the only other remaining horse slaughter plant in Canada. So you know where we're headed next.

Please make a gift now to support our investigative work. We are so close, but we can't shut down horse slaughter once and for all without your help.

Viande Richelieu is difficult to observe because it's so secretive. There is no feedlot and the only outdoor area for horses is protected by a high fence and cameras.

Many of the town's inhabitants seem to be protective of the plant, too – our team was chased in cars, stalked, and threatened during each visit. That's how we know we're about to expose something big.

LET'S BREAK DOWN THE DOOR

Get justice for victims of animal abuse and neglect now

SUPPORT ANIMALS

Bringing down Viande Richelieu means hitting kill buyers where it hurts. The plant receives a lot of its horses from US kill buyers in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, and Missouri.

These are the diehards who will hang on til the very last horse – like Bruce Rotz of Pennsylvania, a vicious man who has already been convicted of animal cruelty. A while back, 30 of his horses were burned alive in a truck that caught fire on its way to the Richelieu plant. Despite getting picked up by news outlets, the public outcry wasn't enough to shut him down.

We know that without a profit from slaughter, kill buyers like Rotz simply can’t operate. So we need to go straight to the top of this vile industry.

Donate now to help us investigate and compile evidence of abuse for the authorities. Horses, cows, pigs, chickens, dogs, and countless other suffering animals are counting on someone to step up and be their voice. That someone can be you.

P.S. I just received a letter from New Holland Sales Stables stating I am no longer "welcome" at the sale, and that if I contact them again, they'll file criminal charges. My team and I have been investigating animal cruelty at New Holland since 2007. There's no way we're stopping now – especially when our efforts to expose abuse and end horse slaughter are clearly working! Help us continue to put the pressure on with a donation today. Intimidation tactics like these will never get in the way of our mission to get justice for animals.
