The conservative Supreme Court in our state is acting as an accomplice to Governor DeSantis efforts to make Black votes count less. But it’s official, Florida’s gerrymandered congressional maps will not change in time for my race. I’m filing to run in the newly redrawn FL-10. I always knew I’d be running to represent the community I call home, but I just didn’t know what the final district lines would be. Now, I need to work harder than ever because these racially gerrymandered maps were designed to stop candidates like me from representing Florida.
