U.S. billionaires like Jeff Bezos have been investing in mining corporations that own mining rights in Greenland. That’s because, while Greenland has bans on certain mining and offshore oil and gas exploration due to environmental concerns, the Trump administration has no such concerns. Trump attempting to acquire Greenland has nothing to do with improving the lives of Americans or Greenlanders. It is another money grab in service of billionaires and their corporations.
