The farm's driveway advertised the availability of camels, zebras, elk, and bison. Depending on the animal, hunters will pay up to $20,000 to participate in a hunt like this.
In a pasture, zebras were grazing next to llamas and antelopes. A peaceful scenario, if there had not been a camouflaged deer stand in the same pasture.
While researching for this investigation, we discovered that many game farms do not require any skills tests. Poor shots from unskilled hunters only wound animals, leaving them to slowly suffer until they die.
There is currently no federal legislation pending that aims to ban canned hunts. These hunts are not fair chases; they're a rigged game that these animals were born to lose. We encourage you to contact your representatives, especially if you live in a state that allows canned hunts, and urge them to take action. In the meantime, please, help us expand our investigations so we can expose and end this unethical trade.
Game ranches offer convenient onsite butchering and taxidermy, so hunters can turn their kill into a trophy. We need to end this cruel and heinous practice. Their lives are worth more than this.
