Five members of the Proud Boys organization are on trial for seditious conspiracy and several other charges. The trial lasted four months. After just three days of deliberations, the jury sent the judge a note asking what they should do in the event they are unable to reach unanimous verdicts on some of the charges. This video discusses: what happens once a jury sends the judge a "hang note;" what an anti-deadlock instruction is and when do judges use them; what happens if the jury hangs on the lead count - seditious conspiracy - but finds the defendants guilty on other charges. Some of the answers may surprise you.
