The explanation is equal parts simple and sad:

 

Kevin McCarthy and the rest of the Republican leadership has utterly failed. They've failed their fellow members of Congress. They've failed their voters. And they've failed our country.

Last week, the House voted to create a bipartisan commission to investigate the deadly January 6th insurrection, over the objections of 175 Republicans, including McCarthy.

The explanation is equal parts simple and sad:

Kevin McCarthy is a coward. He sold out our national security because he's afraid of Donald Trump.

Now, he's hitting up his network of wealthy donors in an effort to flip the House and hand the reins of Congress over to Trump. We can't let that happen. Chip in $6 now to protect our House majority across the nation!

Let's be clear here. By trying to tank the commission, McCarthy:

• Abandoned the Republican members who he'd authorized to negotiate the bill;
• Dismissed the deaths of Capitol Security officers;
• Closed his eyes and plugged his ears to his idol Trump's violent political rhetoric;
• Chose his own political future over our country's need to know the facts of January 6.

He's totally unfit to lead. More importantly, the Republican Congress that continues to appoint him to leadership is unfit to govern.
