13 arrested in World Cup human trafficking stings in Mass., Rhode Island

Thirteen people were arrested recently as part of human trafficking stings in Massachusetts and Rhode Island linked to the World Cup.
The FBI Boston said Tuesday that they had arrested seven people in Massachusetts during a sting operation that took place between June 12-16 as part of an ongoing effort to combat human trafficking during the World Cup. Those arrested included:
- Julio Aguilar, 42, of Saugus, Massachusetts.
- Kenneth M. Berry, 45, of Middleboro, Massachusetts.
- Manjil Bhusal, 21, of Somerville, Massachusetts.
- Jonathan Matthew William Durocher, 34, of Brockton, Massachusetts.
- Trevon Hubbard, 31, of Middleboro, Massachusetts.
- Krish R. Patel, 26, of Quincy, Massachusetts.
- Gerald Sabatinelli, 71, of Hyannis, Massachusetts.
All seven suspects were arraigned in Brockton District Court on charges including sex for a fee with a child under 18, enticement of a child under 16 and attempted rape of a child.
The FBI said East Bridgewater, New Bedford, Peabody and Randolph police all contributed to the investigation, with assistance from police in Boston, Brockton, Massachusetts State Police and the FBI's Albany Division.
Rhode Island State Police also announced six arrests Tuesday as part of the ongoing effort to reduce human trafficking. The operation targeted individuals looking to engage in commercial sex acts, child exploitation and other activities associated with human trafficking. They did not say when the sting took place.
Rhode Island State Police said they were assisted in their investigation by the FBI, Massachusetts State Police, the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the Rhode Island Attorney General's Office and the U.S. Atttorney's Office. Those arrested included:
- Richard Lallier, 34, of Rehoboth, Massachusetts.
- Joshua Lincoln, 27, of North Providence, Rhode Island.
- Jacob Palazzo, 26, of Cranston, Rhode Island.
- Franco Miccoli, 60, of Johnston, Rhode Island.
- Travis Shaw, 38, of Tiverton, Rhode Island.
- Rocky Joseph, 38, of Central Falls, Rhode Island.
Lallier was arraigned in U.S. District Court on charges of attempted enticement, attempted interstate travel for sexual conduct with a minor under 16 and attempted transmission of obscene material to a minor and held without bail pending future court proceedings.
