Right now, Congress is rushing to push through a bill that hands TRILLIONS to war profiteers, private prison contractors, and the ultra-wealthy — all at the expense of our collective health and safety.
Budgets are moral documents, and this version is unconscionable.
In just a matter of DAYS, Congressional committees will determine just how deep they’ll cut programs like Medicaid and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). We’ve got just a few weeks to stop them, so we’ll have to move fast.
Republicans in vulnerable districts are already feeling the heat from their constituents. Our answer? Turn up the dial.
In the face of breathtaking grassroots and movement pressure, and amidst Trump’s sinking poll numbers, House leadership has been forced to delay their timeline and cautioned their members to avoid townhalls over concerns about these cuts.
It all means we have a real shot at forcing Congress to rethink its warped approach and instead pass a budget that prioritizes the needs of the people. So here’s the plan: With your support, we’ll run powerful, hard-hitting ads on mobile billboards across DC to send every member of Congress a message from their constituents that’s simply too loud to ignore.

As key committees in Congress come together next week to decide the fate of healthcare coverage and nutrition assistance, they quite literally hold the lives of MILLIONS of people in their hands. Medicaid spending could be slashed by $880 billion. SNAP by $230 billion. Millions could lose care, with little chance of getting coverage from any other source.
People will die. Why? So Congress can pad the Pentagon budget, line the pockets of weapons contractors, and pay to illegally detain and deport millions of people.
It’s likely only the start. President Trump’s official budget request for next year includes a shocking, unprecedented $1 TRILLION Pentagon budget topline — a 13% increase — all but ensuring the social safety net will shrink even further.[1] None of these budget plans will build peace or true security, and we will ALL pay the price.
That’s why people are fed up, and the good news is our pressure is reaching a tipping point. A dozen House Republicans have already sent their leadership a letter warning they could not support major cuts to Medicaid.[2] We can push more to join.
When a handful of Republican lawmakers held events while they were home for a recent two-week recess, it didn’t go well.[3] But when Congress is back in DC, they can’t hide — so let’s send a loud and clear message across Capitol Hill. Are you in?
Going up against hawks in Congress and a billion-dollar weapons lobby is anything but easy. But we’ve done it before and won — and now we’re ready to do it again.
Together we can make sure that these members can’t escape the simple reality that a vote to take food and healthcare from thousands is as bad politics as it is policy.
Thank you for working for peace,
