Senate set to confirm 235th Biden judge, surpassing Trump’s total
The U.S. Senate is set to confirm President Joe Biden's 235th judicial nominee tonight, surpassing the number of federal judges confirmed during Donald Trump's first term in office. Senators will likely vote to confirm Serena Murillo to be a district judge for the Central District of California.
Biden appointed the largest number of diverse judges of any president. About two-thirds of his judge appointments are women, and about two-thirds are people of color.
