I was overjoyed and honored that the people of Rhode Island elected me to serve for a fourth term in the US Senate. I know many of us are still processing the results of the presidential election – this certainly changed the job description I was expecting. But we have a job to do: guard our common home against plunder and corruption. Defend rule of law in a second Trump administration. Defend Social Security and Medicare. Continue growing the middle class and keep costs low for families. Clean up campaigns, the climates and the courts. As your Senator, I will never stop fighting for the people of Rhode Island – no matter what the next four years may bring. In the meantime, my office remains always ready to help you. Please do not hesitate to reach out for assistance. Delivering for Rhode IslandThe Washington Bridge situation has been a headache for drivers and small businesses across the state. Thanks to the help of Democrats’ Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, federal help is on the way to build a new bridge. Last month, the Bridge rebuild got a major boost with a $95 million INFRA Grant from a program I helped create. This INFRA Program infusion, with a previous $125.39 million Mega grant awarded in September, gives Rhode Island $220.98 million in federal funding, before we even have a contractor or a plan. I will continue getting the state what it needs to fix the bridge mess for Rhode Islanders once and for all. Updates from the Senate
