Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is reportedly "examining a plan to seal off humanitarian aid to northern Gaza," which could starve hundreds of thousands of Palestinians.
The Chile-led effort warned that Israel's decision to ban U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres would "undermine the United Nations' ability to carry out its mandate."
"The corporate cure is always the same—lay off workers," said one critic. "Stock buybacks and layoffs are joined at the hip. It's time they were outlawed entirely."
"In our lifetimes, there has never been a president as willing as Trump is to foment hate and violence among his supporters," said one local advocacy group.
"People are starving," said a Médecins Sans Frontières driver trapped in northern Gaza. "I am afraid to stay, and I am also afraid to leave."
