I wanted sympathy. He gave me a law of human nature: “Son, if one person has a problem with you, it’s probably 50/50. If everyone has a problem with you, it might be you.” Forty years later, that line is the perfect decoder ring for Donald Trump’s latest grievance opera at the United Nations. An escalator stops. A teleprompter hiccups. Suddenly, we’re drowning in calls to investigate and imprison the imaginary saboteurs who dared thwart the hero’s entrance. The punchline: the escalator’s safety sensor was tripped by one of his own camera guys walking backward, and the teleprompter was managed by his side of the house. The “Deep State” turned out to be… his staff. So here’s a thought experiment. What if it’s not a cabal? What if it’s just “consequences?” You know, for being a low-IQ conman and asshole? The Escalator That Cried “Deep State” The Trump Escalator/Teleprompter issues at the UNGA meetings week are a microcosm, but the perfect example of Jimmy Blundell’s wisdom. In the myth, shadowy forces rigged the building to humiliate him. It’s all part of yesterday’s nuclear embarrassment, aided by Trump’s rambling, incoherent UN appearance yesterday. Here are the best two minutes. You’re welcome: The Official White House Position? “US Globalist Staffers, we’re plotting to set up the President of the United States, and someone needs to go to JAIL! And Dear Leader gave the best speech EVER!” ;) In reality, a safety mechanism did what safety mechanisms are supposed to do, and any technical issue was a logistics problem handled by his own shop. Nothing is ever as it seems, and there always has to be a victim grievance if things don’t go his way. It’s “The Trump Show.” One that injects hateful conspiracy into the natural reality AND consequences of his existence. In Trumpworld, the show is persecution. There’s always a plot: Democrats, antifa, “97% of the media,” NATO clerks, cafeteria staff, the ghost of Ivana, take your pick. The villain isn’t the error; the villain is whoever refuses to overlook the mistake. Dad’s rule, Exhibit A: when every stair you step on is “out to get you,” maybe it’s the way you walk, talk, steal, rape, blow up fishing boats, mock victims of sexual abuse, and Russian genocide? Perhaps it’s the Trump-funded disappearance of migrants and Americans, sending them to concentration camps around the world, the $10 billion Trump has made in 19 months, shaking down world leaders and hapless governments in his tariff extortion scheme. Maybe it’s threatening to pull media licenses and or cancel late-night comedians who shine a light on ALL of this shit (all true), and perhaps it’s the clear protection of DOZENS of his donors, world leaders, and billionaire friends who serially trafficked and sexually abused underaged girls and helpless women for 3-4 decades. That’s not the deep state or the radical left. That’s you, Gramps. Otherwise known as natural consequences. “97% of Media Hits Trump” (Or: Math by Megaphone) The “97%” line isn’t a statistic; it’s a shield. It converts every unwelcome fact into an attack and every accountability story into proof of a plot. It invites followers to trade evidence for vibes. Tough coverage isn’t proof of bias; it’s usually proof of tough facts. And let’s be adults: coverage isn’t monolithic. Different outlets, different editors, different stories. When you torch norms before breakfast and post threats by lunch, you’ll earn rough headlines by dinner. That’s not a conspiracy. That’s a newsroom doing its job, which is why Trump has to threaten their bottom lines, merger dreams, and the personalities who report facts about him. It’s the reason and purpose he dines out on the deep state, “never-Trumper” narratives. The alternative is the unmasking of the conman, fraud, weak, fascist, dementia-laden, felon, sexual predator we ALL know him to be. And that’s worse than detah to Trump, so he projects, blames, lies, obfuscates, covers up while kidnapping migrants, blows up Venezuelan fishing boats. Have an issue with any of that? A Short, Very Incomplete Rap Sheet of “So Unfair to Me” You asked for more “meat.” Here’s a sampler of the greatest grievances—how they were framed vs. what actually happened: “Enemy of the people.” Years of branding independent outlets as enemies because they report inconvenient facts. Authoritarianism always starts by shooting the messenger—verbally at first. “Open up our libel laws.” The fantasy that a mean headline should be illegal. The First Amendment, stubbornly, is not on retainer. Credential yanks & walk-outs. From pulling a reporter’s hard pass after a tough exchange to bailing on 60 Minutes and dumping raw footage online—because the questions were… questions. The “Fake News Awards.” A pageant for punishing scrutiny, complete with participation trophies for sycophants. Court cosplay. Mega-dollar defamation suits against outlets that judges swat away as protected opinion or unserious legal theory. Lawsuits as press releases, not as law. Day-one crowd-size war. Attack the photos, attack the estimates, and when the pixels don’t bend, attack the outlet. The camera: still unfair. Pattern recognized? Anything short of a standing ovation is “rigged.” Why So Many People Are Actually Done Strip away the fog machine. What are the documented reasons so many Americans—and allies—are done with the melodrama? He is a convicted felon. Thirty-four counts. That’s not “media spin”; that’s a jury. He has been found liable in civil court for sexual abuse and defamation. The legal system looked at the evidence and said: accountable. He has been found liable for civil fraud in New York. Again: courts, not cable news, issued the judgment. He governs through menace. “Enemy of the people,” threats against journalists and opponents, performative vows to punish media companies and late-night hosts for “hitting Trump.” He treats allies like props and rules like props. Whiplash on policy, applause lines over plans, constant pressure to bury inconvenient facts under a mountain of grievance. He trivializes catastrophe. From sneering at war-torn democracies to hedging support when it’s politically useful, “leadership” becomes a stunt reel—others pay the bill. He’s a pathological liar. All conmen are. He removed fundamental human rights for 360 million Americans. He is turning the United States into a fully funded Police State He is protecting dozens of pedophiles and child rapists, including himself, while Epstein’s victims swim in trauma and have for 20-30 years. He has accepted over $10 billion in presidential bribes in nine months. He’s presided over the worst US economy since 2008, a collapsing US dollar, sucked 12 trillion out of the US economy, ushered in the biggest tax hike in US history, while alienating every former US ally since WW2. The book is out. These aren’t Twitter rumors. These are public records, court outcomes, and years of on-camera reality. You don’t need a conspiracy to explain revulsion. You need a mirror that Trump calls “The Deep State.” News Is About Events, Not Feelings If the inputs are indictments, civil liability, ethics rot, and repeated attacks on institutions, the outputs will be critical headlines. That’s how journalism works. Don’t like the reflection? Don’t smash the mirror. Change the face. When a leader says the press is “illegal,” promises to muzzle shows that make fun of him, dangles regulator threats over mergers, and treats unfavorable reporting as treason, that’s not “fighting bias.” That’s prepping the ground for rule by intimidation. It’s an attempt to swap the public square for a loyalty test. And Trump keeps showing us AND telling us that’s what he’s all about: Free societies don’t run on adoration. They run on accountability—the boring, relentless kind. Myth vs. Reality (Pin These) Myth: “The UN sabotaged me.” Reality: Your crew tripped a safety sensor; your team managed the prompter. Own your operation. Myth: “MSM is the enemy of the people!” Reality: A plural press reported plural, often ugly facts. You supplied the plot; they supplied the verbs. Myth: “Tough coverage proves a plot.” Reality: Tough coverage usually proves tough facts.
