Corrupt Attorney General Pam Bondi capitalized on the murder of an ICU nurse, Alex Pretti, in Minnesota as an opportunity to demand access to sensitive voter roll data ahead of the 2026 midterm election. Using Pretti’s murder by Border Patrol agents and ICE’s unprecedented violent surge in Minnesota as pretext, Bondi offered to “restore the rule of law” if Gov. Walz allowed the DOJ to gain access to Minnesota’s voter registration records:     MAGA is sowing chaos and murdering people on the streets in order to extort blue states into handing over sensitive voter information.  Bondi’s sick ransom note to the State of Minnesota reveals the true meaning behind all of Donald Trump’s domestic agenda: MAGA will do whatever it takes to interfere with the 2026 Midterm elections to prevent being defeated at the polls in November. This incident is a warning for those hesitating to fight back with equal force and passion against Trump’s interference in our elections—if we don’t stand up and oppose Trump right now with everything we’ve got, come November we will have already lost.  Colorado Draws the Line is standing up and fighting back against Trump’s 2026 election rigging: leading the statewide ballot initiative to redraw blue state Colorado’s congressional districts, an effort that could flip three to four GOP-held seats in Colorado from red to blue. Let me understand this - The Federal Government, Department of Justice,Pamela Jo Bondi is Blackmailing Governor Walz of Minnesota??????? Blackmailing Walz that she will remove Ice if he gives her Minnesotan Citizens Voter records, private data?????? That is breaking at least 4 LAWS!

Not only Impeach Bondi, she needs to go to Jail!

If federal Department of Justice (DOJ) officials were to engage in blackmailing a state governor, they would likely be breaking multiple federal laws designed to prevent extortion, coercion, and abuses of power.

The specific laws implicated include:

Hobbs Act (18 U.S.C. § 1951): This act makes it a crime to obstruct, delay, or affect interstate commerce through extortion, including under "color of official right". If a federal agent uses their power to force a governor to perform or refrain from an action through fear of economic or reputational harm, this act is violated.

Extortion by Employees of the United States (18 U.S.C. § 872): This statute specifically criminalizes federal employees who engage in extortion under color of office.

Blackmail (18 U.S.C. § 873): This applies if the threat involves demanding money or "other valuable thing" in exchange for not revealing information about a violation of federal law.

Interstate Communications (18 U.S.C. § 875/876): If the threats are sent via mail, email, or telephone across state lines, they violate these statutes, which cover threats to injure property, reputation, or to accuse someone of a crime.

Deprivation of Rights Under Color of Law (18 U.S.C. § 242): This prohibits anyone acting under color of law from willfully depriving a person of rights protected by the Constitution, which can include the rights of a state official to act without federal coercion.

It is likely that judicial complaints have been filed against a number of these BOOBS and BONDI is high on that list. 

Let's see what Governor Walz next action is. We already know that he will protect MINNESOTA!

January 2, 2026 Happy New Year. My name is Julia Métraux, and I’m a disability reporter at Mother Jones. Last year, the disability community lost a leader, a treasured friend, and an oracle: Alice Wong. There’s so much to remember Alice for, so any list would not do full justice, but I’ve admired her dedication to advocating for Palestinians and also co-creating Crips for eSims for Gaza, which helps provide access to the internet. Her advocacy on this issue has received backlash, but as someone who embodied the principles of disability justice, Alice kept fighting the good fight. I’m going to miss her insights on how disabled people can fight back on Medicaid cuts, including to home and community-based services, as Alice has been a crucial voice on the importance of disabled people living independently. She was also very encouraging to me and others:  When I was very much an up-and-coming disability journalist, Alice was always kind to me, often reposting my calls for sources, which led more people in the disability community to trust me. I was fortunate to be part of a Bitch Media Access series she co-edited in 2021, and when I was ranting about the University of California graduate workers’ union representatives not meeting the needs of disabled workers, she invited me to write a piece for Disability Visibility Project. In an obituary for Literary Hub, journalist Steven Thrasher recounted a story where Alice, who could no longer eat, gave him cookies. Thrasher said he needed to lose weight. Alice’s response? “EAT THE FUCKING COOKIES!!!!” What a nice, blunt, and enthusiastic friend she was. Rest in peace, Alice, and I hope you’ll read my tribute to her. —Julia Métraux
