A More Perfect Union

 

 

This Independence Day, we have a lot to fight for to make this experiment in democracy more perfect. While we gather today with family and friends, may we not lose sight of what is at stake for Pennsylvania and this nation in a few short months.

This July 4th, I’m redoubling my efforts to help elect John Fetterman for US Senate, Josh Shapiro for Governor, and so many other Democrats up and down the ballot because so many of our basic freedoms are on the line.

With another Democratic vote in the US Senate we can:
eliminate the filibuster
codify the protections of Roe v. Wade
take on the price gouging from big corporations and inflation
fight the climate crisis
And so much more.

With a Democratic Governor we can:
protect safe and legal abortion in Pennsylvania
make historic investments in education and fix our toxic schools
modernize our election system and make it easier to vote
lower property taxes and expand affordable housing

With more Democrats elected up and down the ballot we can:
SAVE OUR DEMOCRACY!

Roe v. Wade gone. Now what?

 

Like you, I’m furious, I’m sad, and I’m asking: what now?

Today is a dark day in our nation's history. The Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade guts the fundamental freedom to choose. Already states have banned or are in the process of banning all abortion — even in cases of rape, incest, and to protect the life of the mother.

In Pennsylvania, abortion is still safe and legal. For now. What happens in November will determine whether or not that remains the case. 

That's why I am still crisscrossing the Commonwealth to support Democrats up and down the ballot. We must elect Josh Shapiro to be our next Governor and John Fetterman as our next US Senator.

But I can't do this alone. That's why I'm humbly asking for your help.

We need everyone in this fight. Your support will help us elect Democrats and keep Pennsylvania blue. We can’t give up. Everything is on the line.

Help for my friends being challenged by republicans

 

 

This was just the beginning. We still have so much work to do up and down the ballot to support candidates who remain on the frontlines fighting for progress.

My good friend and colleague is in a tough fight against a republican challenger and it is crucial that we keep her seat!  She has been a true progressive champion in the legislature on the issues that matter most to us.
