Sen. Cory Booker Joins MeidasTouch for an Exclusive Interview
The senator didn’t hold back—and neither should we.

By Ben Meiselas
When I sat down with Senator Cory Booker for his first appearance on the MeidasTouch Network, I knew it was going to be powerful. But it exceeded even my biggest expectations. Fresh off his historic marathon speech on the Senate floor, Booker and I got right into it.
We started with Trump’s economic wrecking ball: his disastrous tariffs, the trillions in market losses, the retirees who now can’t retire, and the soaring cost of living hammering everyday Americans. As Senator Booker said, it’s like Trump took a battle axe to the economy—and it's not just reckless, it’s malicious. It’s part of an authoritarian playbook: create chaos, force people to beg, and then pretend you’re the savior.
Cory didn’t sugarcoat it. He said what too many in Congress are afraid to admit: “Screw him and his motivations.” It doesn’t matter whether Trump is doing this out of ignorance or cruelty—we have to stop him either way. Because no matter who you are—a senior citizen, a kid in school, a mom trying to afford medicine—Trump is coming after you.
And while Republicans in Congress like John Thune twiddle their thumbs and say, “Well, this is what he ran on,” Booker reminded us: Congress wasn’t created to bow to a wannabe king. It was created to check power, not be complicit in its abuse. Yet there have been zero hearings on Trump’s corruption, his backroom deals with Elon Musk, or the erosion of our institutions.
Booker called this what it is: a tyranny play.
He laid out the path forward and what the fight looks like. We fight in the courts. We fight using every procedural tactic in Congress. And most importantly, we fight with the power of the people. We protest. We organize. We make our voices so loud they can’t be ignored.
He reminded us of history—of the civil rights movement, of WWII veterans who stormed beaches to fight fascism. And he made it clear that this is our moment now. We are being called to take a stand. To protect democracy. To stop a man who openly praises dictators and trashes our allies. To resist a regime that disappears people, tears families apart, and throws away due process like it’s a orange makeup-stained napkin at Mar-a-Lago.
As Senator Booker said, “The limits of tyrants are prescribed by the endurance of those they seek to oppress.” So the question is—how much are we willing to endure?
Watch the full interview. Share it. Talk to your friends. Show up. Speak out. And let’s make damn sure this time, the arc of history bends hard away from tyranny—and toward justice.
One more ask: if you haven’t yet, add the MeidasTouch Podcast on audio on Apple Podcasts and Spotify. If you’ve already done that, consider adding a 5-star review. It is thanks to you that we are beating Rogan and all the MAGA shows. Now we have to keep this momentum going.
