Courts deliver victories for Pennsylvania voters

  • A federal judge tossed out a lawsuit from six GOP Pennsylvania congressmen challenging the ability of military and overseas voters to have their ballots counted in the critical swing state this November.

  • As expected, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court decided not to pause its ruling permitting voters to cast a provisional ballot if their mail-in ballot is rejected for technical reasons. The Republican National Committee has gone to the U.S. Supreme Court over the issue.

What happens to the hundreds of ballots affected by drop box fires

  • Hundreds of ballots in Washington and a few in Oregon were destroyed after drop boxes were set on fire yesterday — nearly a week before Election Day. Read here to learn how officials are responding and what happens to the affected voters.

New right-wing case filed in Wisconsin

  • A right-wing group filed a lawsuit yesterday claiming that Wisconsin is unlawfully sharing voters' personal information with ERIC, a multistate database that helps maintain accurate voter rolls.

The latest on Nevada voting lawsuits

  • Nye County, Nevada settled a lawsuit filed by the ACLU over the county's refusal to allow a nonpartisan staff member access to observe the election during the primary. Nye County agreed to not restrict election observers based on political affiliation.

  • In a new YouTube video, Marc and Democracy Docket’s Paige Moskowitz break down the Nevada Supreme Court ruling yesterday and how it will impact voters, if the GOP can appeal and what to know about recent litigation over mail-in ballot receipt deadlines.
