Some More Great News That’s Terrible For Trump and Musk
Featuring a failed GOP town hall, JB Pritzker pulling no punches, a NY plan to slow Tesla sales, and more
Amid the chaos and madness we’re all facing right now, I’m happy to share more great news with you today. Let’s jump in.
Trump’s relentless attacks on Canada backfired on him spectacularly yesterday. The anti-maga candidate Mark Carney won the race for Prime Minister—in what many are calling a referendum on Trump.
We’ve got more bad news for Elon: New York lawmakers are moving to revoke Tesla’s special waiver, which allows the company to sell directly to customers in the state.
NY State Senator Patricia Fahy called Musk out, saying he is “part of an administration that is killing all the grant funding for electric vehicle infrastructure, killing wind energy, killing anything that might address climate change.”
Other states must follow New York’s lead, and push back against the Trump regime in any way possible.
Adding to Musk’s troubles, a Senate report revealed that Elon’s businesses were facing enforcement actions from 11 government agencies, totaling more than $2.3 billion. The report alleges Musk used his DOGE role to “evade oversight, derail investigations, and make litigation disappear whenever he so chooses.” More to come.
The few Republicans who are holding town halls are getting a rude awakening outside of their DC bubble. GOP Rep. Mike Lawler hosted one, and his constituents were absolutely furious.
Lawler tried to blame Biden for a few things, leading to boos so loud you couldn’t hear what he was saying. Good—because he had nothing to offer but lies and support for Trump. When he tried to explain away tariffs, the crowd erupted with chants of “blah, blah, blah!” A perfect summary of any Republican town hall.
One of our amazing subscribers, Debra, attended an empty-chair town hall in GOP Rep. Lauren Boebert’s district in Colorado. Debra said they “had a cutout and a stand-in … Afterwards we walked down to Tesla” to protest for the eighth week in a row. Thank you, Debra, for making a difference!
Illinois Governor JB Pritzker delivered a fiery speech in New Hampshire, where he didn’t hold back. He said it’s “time to stop wondering if you can trust the nuclear codes to people who don’t know how to organize a group chat.”
Then Pritzker scorched the Trump regime: “We have a Secretary of Education who hates teachers and schools. We have a Secretary of Transportation who hates public transit. We have an AG who hates the Constitution. We have a Secretary of State—the son of naturalized citizens, a family of refugees—on a crusade to expel both from our country.”
Pritzker didn’t leave Trump out, saying: “We have a president who claims to love America but hates our military so much that can’t be bothered to delay his golf game to greet the bodies of four fallen U.S. soldiers.” Say it again, and say it louder.
And Pritzker had a message for all of America: “Never before in my life have I called for mass protests, for mobilization, for disruption. But I am now.”
That’s what all of us have been doing since the Trump regime took office—organizing to fight against this tyranny in every legal way imaginable.
That’s why I formed our activism arm, The Watchdog Coalition. We generated a billion impressions on social media over the last week—fighting GOP cuts to Medicaid and Social Security. And our Contact Congress initiative has now sent 279,959 letters, and made countless calls.
