CHINA IS PROMOTING CHEAP CLEAN ENERGY & THEIR ECONOMY IS
PROSPERING! LET'S CATCH UP!
WE CAN DO THIS!
President Trump recently signed an executive order that attempts to override state authority on climate and clean energy policy by giving the federal government more control over energy infrastructure permitting, including pipelines and fossil fuel projects. This is a clear case of federal overreach. Interfering with valid state authority to protect their residents from pollution and rising energy costs doesn’t just threaten climate progress — it takes power away from the very people who are most impacted by energy decisions. States have long played a critical role in shaping our energy future. From setting ambitious climate goals to holding utilities accountable, states have been the driving force behind the transition to clean energy — including rooftop solar, community solar, and battery storage that puts power in the hands of people. That’s why Vote Solar has long focused on state-level policies. In fact, we’re hard at work in more than 20 states right now, working with state policy makers to forge a clean energy future that benefits all of us. We know from experience that our communities want more affordable, reliable, and clean energy. States are delivering that future. This executive order is a desperate attempt to stall momentum and protect entrenched interests at the expense of public health, economic opportunity, and energy justice. Vote Solar will continue working with states on exciting, transformative clean energy policies. This executive order does not change our mission; in fact, it makes it more relevant than ever. Together, we can and will secure our clean energy future. In solidarity, Sach + the Vote Solar Team
