Friend, the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Israel and Gaza is growing more catastrophic by the day.
Over 4,000 people have been killed, and thousands more have been injured. In Gaza, hospitals and health centers have been damaged and are running out of fuel.
In the face of this devastating war, Americares remains steadfast in our commitment to providing support in both Israel and Gaza to meet the most urgent health needs of civilians caught in the crossfire. Right now, we’re working with a longtime, trusted partner organization in the region. Medicines and medical supplies purchased with emergency funding from Americares are prepositioned in Egypt awaiting transport into Gaza once a humanitarian corridor has been established. We have also offered our assistance to organizations working in Israel and will continue to work with them to identify health-related needs, including how best to provide mental health support.
