Do you remember Tahlequah? She is an orca mother of the Southern Resident pods who carried her dead calf’s body for weeks in a gut-wrenching tour of grief. Tahlequah’s loss has captured hearts around the world, but her family is STILL at risk.
Two more of Tahlequah’s beloved relatives are dead due to starvation caused by massive lack of fish, toxic pollution and devastating interference from the shipping industry. Now, there are only 75 orcas left in the Southern Resident pods, and they’re counting on YOUR help to survive.
The ONLY way to save these whales from extinction is to stop dangerous oil megaprojects and careless shipping practices in their tracks and secure permanent protections for the precious marine creatures we have left.
Friends of the Earth is leading the charge to protect ocean life from deadly oil spills, habitat loss and the destruction of their fragile food webs. But as World Oceans Day draws to a close, we’re falling behind on our urgent $30,000 goal to power our efforts.
Please, time is running out before our midnight deadline: Will you join the fight and make a membership gift of $15 or more now to help hit our World Oceans Day goal, protect precious marine life and save our blue planet?
If you've saved payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

Thank you for your urgent support,
