Medicaid funds for children = “waste, fraud, and abuse”?

 

Trump’s cuts to Medicaid just keep getting worse: This time, it’s our children who will suffer.

Reporting from NPR just this month revealed that “children’s hospitals collectively stand to lose billions of dollars in revenue once Trump's wide-ranging tax and spending law is fully enacted.” Without these dollars, kids everywhere won’t get the care they need.

Children make up nearly half of all enrollees in Medicaid and other public health care programs. Medicaid keeps kids healthy. Depriving them of that care is just wrong.

As Governor, Roy Cooper oversaw the Medicaid Expansion that helped over 675,000 North Carolinians get covered for health care — and as Senator, he’ll continue working to give even more folks access to care.
