45 more people are free

 

Hi, it’s Philadelphia District Attorney Larry Krasner.    Since I took office, my top priority has been to make our city not only safer but also fairer.   Right now, too many innocent people are suffering in jail. They don’t deserve this, especially not while the guilty go free.   I am proud to have helped exonerate more than 45 people during my tenure. I’ve also facilitated a 50% decrease in future years of incarceration, a 66% decrease in future years of supervision on probation and parole, and a 70% reduction in the number of juveniles held in jail-like settings.   Under my administration, Philly has become safer, fairer, and more just.   And I’m just getting started.   I’m running for reelection because I know there are more innocent people who deserve to be exonerated, and there are more people we can help by fighting for justice.   But I can’t win this race alone.
