Breaking: U.S.-Iran Negotiations Collapse in PakistanThe talks in Islamabad between the United States and Iran have failed. Let me say that again clearly. The negotiations are over, and the Trump regime blew them up from the inside. Here’s what happened. Iran put forward a ten-point framework as the basis for negotiations — a framework the Trump administration accepted. That acceptance is what got both sides to the table in Islamabad in the first place. Then, as is Donald Trump’s lifelong habit, the terms changed the moment he had something to gain from changing them. The administration showed up and attempted to impose an entirely different set of demands, including U.S. control over the Strait of Hormuz. Iran said no. J.D. Vance held a press conference moments ago, after 21 hours of talks, declaring the negotiations dead. Vance announced the following as he approached the lectern: “We have not reached an agreement. And I think that’s bad news for Iran, much more than it’s bad news for the United States of America…They have chosen not to accept our terms.” What Vance conveniently left out is that the United States agreed to Iran’s framework and then committed what amounts to diplomatic fraud by abandoning it entirely at the negotiating table. Trump even said he was having his administration investigate news organizations who reported on Iran’s ten-point framework that he agreed to. Iran’s state media had already telegraphed the collapse before Vance stepped to the podium, stating that “excessive demands of the American side, especially regarding the Strait of Hormuz,” had prevented even a basic common framework from being established. You cannot reach a deal when you won’t honor the terms that brought both parties to the room. Meanwhile, as these talks were crumbling, the Trump administration attempted to send two Navy destroyers through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s navy came out and made clear what would happen if they continued. The destroyers turned around. CENTCOM then put out a statement declaring the mission a success. It was not a success, per independent experts who were monitoring the situation. A Chinese vessel and an Indian vessel passed through. American warships reportedly did not, despite U.S. claims. And where was the President during all of this? At a UFC match in Florida, with Marco Rubio clapping in the stands. You’d think the President and the Secretary of State would be engaged in these high-stakes negotiations, but nope. They were too busy yucking it up with Joe Rogan. Before heading there, Trump gave a press conference on the White House lawn claiming the strait was being swept clean, that Iran has no navy, no air force, no radar, and that he’s winning regardless of whether a deal gets done. It didn’t matter if a deal was made, Trump insister, because the U.S. had already “won.” That was the most obvious tell that talks were not going well. What happened in Islamabad with the United States in negotiations does not project a nation that just won a war. Far from it.
Iran just played their cards, the cards which Trump insisted they did not have. Now, the U.S. delegation is heading back home empty handed. The ceasefire that preceded these talks now looks like exactly what I suspected it was: a mechanism to briefly calm the markets, not a genuine path to peace. JUST A FEW OF MANY INFORMED COMMENTS:
Is it any wonder when we sent over three idiots? They have zero negotiating skills.
No one in this regime has any negotiating skills! They are all ass kissers and the Dumpster is so delusional he doesn’t remember anything one minute to the next!
You do not go into negotiations and demand when you are on the losing side. Any fool could figure that out. We took out a 50 year old Air Force and Navy and other than infrastructure and innocent lives what else did trump accomplish. They still have drones, they still have missiles, they still have mines, they still have IRG boats that can take out ships and/or block the strait.
From what was reported above, it sounded like Iran found enough of their obliterated navy to cause our ships to turn around. Don't forget the original objective was to get their uranium and prevent them from enriching it enough. Seems they still have the uranium, enough navy to turn ours around, and thousands of inexpensive easily replaced drones. And don't forget they are a people who think that death will elevate them. Pretty stupid to play chicken with a group that has nothing to lose.
Trump regime have achieved rising fuel prices across the globe. I just paid double to fill up my tank.
Guess where all that extra money is going?? Straight into these evil greedy billionaire pockets
JD Vance, Kushner and Witkoff learned their negotiating skills from the master. How many will pretend that Trump was brilliant in his 'negotiating' skills?
Not sure why anybody would be surprised. What evidence was there that Vance had any negotiating skills, let alone in international conflict resolution? Did the press really think the fake Hillbilly had extraordinary negotiating skills?
Another disastrous day of the diplomacy for the Trump team. It's a joke at this point. Nothing will change until the gutless media is honest. This administration is a never-ending clown show! This is just the price we will have to pay for the idiots that voted for Trump and we will just have to deal with it. I hope it's a lesson we all learn from. The three Stooges
Please don’t insult Moe, Larry and Curly. They were much smarter than those three.
Larry Moe and Curly🤬
You beat me to it? Three monkeys could do a better job negotiating
But wait…there were 4 of them. 😆 Mike, Peter, Micky and Davy!
“The Iranian delegation negotiated continuously and intensively for 21 hours in order to protect the national interests of the Iranian people; despite various initiatives from the Iranian delegation, the unreasonable demands of the American side prevented the progress of the negotiations. “Thus the negotiations ended,” [Iranian state broadcaster] IRIB said." The Guardian 12-Apr-26/UK https://tinyurl.com/3x82z537
The explanation advanced by Iran is more reasoned and realistic, which is not to say correct or complete. It suggests that despite Iran’s stated willingness to compromise, and “various initiatives” it advanced, Iran could not overcome "unreasonable demands" in opposition advanced by the US. The failure was predictable. The US negotiators, none of whom is a Secretary or Assistant Secretary of State or a career diplomat, were in over their heads. Real estate and venture capital negotiations are very different from international political and diplomatic negotiations. What Vance's intended purpose there was remains unclear. With these three, negotiations appear to be a US pretext to walk away from the cease fire and renew hostilities, ill-considered if US ships are near the SoH.
Two Real Estate “Moguls” and an “Author” walked into a negotiation session……..
This didn't have a thing to do with 'negotiating skills' because tRump never intended to negotiate. The minute he changed the 'terms' - and likely without telling the Iranians - it was no longer an opportunity to communicate, persuade, or compromise. At most tRump wanted a photo op. tRump probably doesn't even know what the word means.
By the way, has anyone EVER seen his school or college transcripts? His diplomas?
He has taken all possible actions to prevent his academic records from being disclosed. Duh! I have only heard comments from one college professor about his work, terrible student. Mary Trump has made some comments on these issues.
Spot ON!!!
The orange smear is delusional. Thinks he can agree to a negotiating framework before talks and then just waltz in to the talks and demand completely different terms.
Yeah !! The 3 Stooges !!! 😮😮😮
we have a total idiot as a 'president'.
Who is now bored with the war he started. He is at a UFC event-please. I swear if they start building that arch, I will tear it down with my bare hands. How many of our service people did they put in danger when they tried that stunt with the 2 destroyers. Iran is right, the US did not go into these negotiations with good intent.
i will join you on the deconstruction team
We can take down the ballroom too.
and rip out the remodel of the Kennedy center.
And take the banners of his grotesque image off the DOJ building, and then "ROAD TRIP"... to FL. Mara Lardo could use some fumigation.
OK we are on a roll now. So much to do so little time. Thanks for the "Road trip". I needed that before I hit the bed with a smile.
They will have to install 100 camaras around it in order to stop vandalism. It will be the best place to carry fun signs, eg, "Trump is a PEDO", for all foreign tourists to see, film and take home with them.
We will all show up but rather than tear down how about a sit-in to prevent any construction whatsoever? Itʻs an abomination!
I’ve been thinking I’d go to the construction site and lay my body down to get in the way of them even breaking ground! Maybe if enough people would join me, we could prevent it. ☺️
I gave him the nickname
Dumb 💩 Donny.
”We’ve been at it for 20 hours. ”We’ve seen y’all negotiate before. It’s always a pathetic shit show. By the way , we had a nuclear agreement with Iran, however the orange clown tore it up. 🤷♀️
Repackage the Obama deal and call it the Trump deal - might work because DJT lives in his own version of reality.
Presidiot DJT.
They’re all idiots right along with him.
Whao what's more important negotiations w iran or Trump being entertained w Rubio. Why is kosher dealing w iran? He does not work for the usa.
Any President watching a fight when war negotiations are going on should not be a president.
AS LONG as LOSER TRUMP is POS-POTUS, America will continue to become weaker, more immoral, and more blitheringly incompetent.
Nothing short of that.

And Israel got what they wanted. To continue the war with Iran. Israel wants Iran gone. They don’t care if people die as long as they are gone and they found the biggest sap to join them. Donald J Trump.
They also want to take over Lebanon. They didn't even stop bombing when trump first said there was a cease fire. They answer to no one. Bibi took to the air to say they were not through with their objectives. They will be really pleased the talks failed.
Definitely. I had read earlier that Israel was hoping the talks would fail and I think Trump did also, so he could say he tried.
And I guess wash his hands of it. He really does think Americans are stupid. We will never forget Epstein or Iran or all the fraud he has committed. He wanted this war. His advisors and the intelligence community told him what would happen but he only listened to Bibi.
They want to rid them selves of a terrorist and terrible group, Hezbollah. They have a mission to destroy Israel. What would America do if instead of being wonderful, the Canadians harbored a large group intent on bombing to death the US? So easy to be antisemitic when you know nothing.
Listen to the voices of reason and not your warped claims!
There are SOLUTIONS TO PEACE but ISRAEL DOES NOT WANT PEACE!
The SOLUTION IS THE 2 STATE SOLUTION!
ISRAEL is bombing and killing unarmed civilians with US WEAPONS.
Please review how many BOMBS they drop in a short period of time - carefully planned to TERRORIZE!
Try sourcing your information ore broadly.
This is ETHNIC CLEANSING!
To be against the actions of Netanyahu does not mean one is antisemitic.
Israel wants Palestine and Lebanon gone.
Another person with no knowledge of history.
ISRAEL DOES NOT WANT TO LIVE IN PEACE!
It seems that you're making false accusations and the typical response is to accuse others of ANTI-SEMITISM for criticizing ISRAEL.
That's typical of a warped ZEALOT ignoring ISRAEL'S GENOCIDE & WAR CRIMES!
ISRAEL'S crimes and abuse are widely reported.
ISRAEL has armed ILLEGAL SETTLERS who are killing in the WEST BANK.
ISRAEL has destroyed assets (car, homes etc.), tortured and sexually abused prisoners, incarcerated CHILDREN, destroyed crops, killed farm animals - ECONOMIC TERRORISM and prevented AID in any form to provide care for PALESTINIANS who are COLD and STARVING.
That's not HISTORY! It's ISRAEL's current ABUSE!
It's not your FALSE claim of ANTI-SEMITISM.
The recent EXECUTION LAW defines ISRAEL'S CRIMES!
US Commander in Chief Netanyahu has turned the US Military as Israel’s Proxy Forces, while US TAXPAYERS pay Israel’s bills
I wouldn’t wanna be a republican running for office
They’re really fucked
I certainly hope so, Unbelievable what these people have done to our country, This ass JD Vance campaigning for a dictator, Says everything these fucks are trying to do,
Even the ones not running for office are devoid of morality.
Dang, Rubio looks wasted.
My thoughts exactly!
Iran said it didn't trust Trump. They were right.
What's embarrassing is that there is hardly a country out there, including our allies, that trust the US with trump in power.
You are so right. And why should they!
Hard to come to an agreement when one Party won’t stop committing genocide and won’t come to the table
And Lie!
how is it not bad for america? Do we want to continue paying $11,000 per minute and risking American lives??
Color me unsurprised 😒
I know we have a power craze man that thinks power is supposed to dictate everything but we’re 2026 and people actually like to use communication organization and strategy not starting a war and then expecting I ran to end it the way you want to especially since you blew it up for nothing there was no reason to do this and you just did it and ripped up the only thing that was actually in place Obama‘s deal to have Jack shit this is what you get
Plenty of ehst that cretin does is to destroy, change any thing President Barack Obama has achieved. If people looked st the track record they'd see he started in his first term either Medicaid, etc. Now this is a big deal to change because President Barack Obama was do successful with the deal abd he hates that. 😠🤬
That's the whole reason Jared kushner and witless wonder are there. To make sure there's no ceasefire with Iran, at izrahells behest. Izrahell wants to continue their ethnic cleansing and genocide, coupled with land and resource theft in Lebanon, as well as Syria and Palestine.
No more funding for Israel - US taxpayers have been squeezed and our military will need to replenish but since this is not Congress approved “war” we say NO to more funding for this ill-conceived immoral war.
“We have not reached an agreement. And I think that’s bad news for Iran, much more than it’s bad news for the United States of America…They have chosen not to accept our terms.”
If this is how Yale mints lawyers it should stop. Vance is as bad an attorney as he is a politician, and his abilities as a diplomat and a negotiator are nonexistent. From Harvard, which properly trains negotiators: “Three core features of negotiation: 1) Interdependence – You need the other party; 2) Mixed interests – Some goals overlap, others conflict; and 3) Communication – Agreement requires dialogue.”
“They have chosen not to accept our terms.” That is not how the process works. Negotiation requires mutual and reciprocal give and take and agreements are reached by consensus, with each side getting what it needs but not necessarily all it wants. Bully power-plays are just that.

release the trumpstein files and we can fix things
🙉🙈🙊
When you send a team of monkeys, apologies monkeys, you get a pile of nothing. These monkeys have no skills, no diplomacy, no grasp of the culture or geographical state. 😡🤯
👊Watching a fight instead of tending the disaster he created and then, cream on top, he starts attacking female reporters. This should make headline news nonstop.
DJT is manipulating the markets, but is also keeping some people's eyes off the Epstein files! Fortunately we have Melania bringing Epstein back into the picture. Her remarks spawned a response from Amanda Ungaro who implicated Zampoli and brought Riva into the picture. More people for Congress to depose!
And... I forgot, DJT said Iran's navy was no m9re, but an Iranian ship chased one of our destroyers away! I will celebrate the 250 anniversary when DJT is no longer in power!
Renewable energy is winning, India and China are developing electrification faster. Japan helps Ukraine with electrified anti drone technology being able to chase Shaheeds in the air, kind like a racecar in the sky. Well done guys!

If he does decide to initiate another military conflict, it almost certainly won’t involve any ground operations. Trump took office saying he would end America’s “forever wars,” but only those who weren’t listening very closely believed he had no appetite for overseas military adventurism. Trump loves a good bombing campaign, but favors operations that are quick, involve minimal risk to US personnel, and don’t require him to clean up after whatever mess he made.
In the first year of his second term, Trump bombed seven different countries: Iran, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Venezuela, Somalia, and Nigeria. That’s not exactly a record of restraint, but it shows how he likes to operate.
Though Iran’s ballistic missiles and proxy groups are part of the official rationale, Trump is focused on the country’s efforts to develop its nuclear capacity. That’s why it’s so important to remember that we had an agreement with Iran that did, in fact, constrain its nuclear program. It was called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), and it was painstakingly negotiated by the US, Russia, China, France, Germany, and the UK, and finalized in mid-2015. In exchange for sanctions relief, it put in place a monitoring system to ensure that Iran could not enrich uranium beyond what was necessary for civilian use. (Iran has always claimed, not very persuasively, that it has no intention to build nuclear bombs.)
When Trump took office in 2017, his own military and national security advisers tried to convince him that the JCPOA was working and would stop Iran from developing a nuclear weapon. But because it was negotiated under Barack Obama, Trump convinced himself that it was a disaster, and in 2018 he abandoned the agreement. To no one’s surprise, Iran then resumed its efforts to reach the capacity to produce nuclear weapons, leading us toward the place we are now.
He hasn’t even tried to persuade anyone
While Americans are well used to the cycle we’re in — escalating tensions, belligerent statements from both sides, a seemingly unstoppable march to war — there has been a gaping void where we normally find a vigorous propaganda effort.
We all know how it works: The president gives a big speech explaining what his goals are, administration representatives fan out to make the case, members of Congress debate whether it’s a good idea, diplomats are sent to persuade allies that they should join in the effort, and all of that creates waves of news coverage and analysis that help the public understand what’s at stake and what the potential outcomes are.
In its extreme version (e.g. the Bush administration’s preparation for the Iraq War), the government creates bogus narratives and fake evidence of the terrible danger America is in if we don’t immediately let loose with all our spectacular capacity to rain hellfire down on any country anywhere in the world. But even that presumes that without the legitimacy of public support, the war can’t proceed.
So much B/S
Don't discard or dismiss this information so easily!
It matters because IRAN was abiding by its MULTI-NATIONAL AGREEMENT
