Late last year, Donald Trump ordered Texas Gov. Greg Abbott to rig Texas’ congressional districts to help Republicans build a firewall that could withstand a potential Democratic blue wave in 2026.  The result was a gerrymander so ambitious that it flipped 5 Democratic seats to the GOP with the stroke of a pen. The conservative Supreme Court eventually approved their work, solidifying MAGA’s gains and encouraging further red state redistricting. Now other red states have followed suit: North Carolina (+1 GOP), Missouri (+1), Ohio (+2), Utah (+1), and Florida (+4 GOP).  The situation is dire, but we don’t have to take this lying down. We are fighting back — and using the slogan of Texas swagger and pride “Don’t Mess with Texas” as a rallying cry: We’re definitely gonna Mess with Texas. Colorado Draws the Line is fighting to stop Trump from rigging the 2026 election by leading a statewide ballot initiative to redraw Colorado’s congressional districts, wiping away four GOP-held seats in Colorado and turning them blue for years to come.   We need your help to wipe the stupid, smug smirks off the faces of Trump and Greg Abbott.   We need to be honest, though: we’re taking a huge risk here that could easily backfire.
