POLICE CHIEFS SPEAK OUT

A group of police chiefs held a press conference this week to sound the alarm about local officers suffering civil rights violations at the hands of federal agents.
Mark Bruley, the Police Chief of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, said he had already been receiving “endless complaints” from US citizens about Trump’s immigration abuses. Now, even off-duty police officers are reporting similar mistreatment.
Bruley made it clear that all of the officers coming forward are people of color, saying they “know what the Constitution is … and they know when people are being targeted.” He added: “If it is happening to our officers, it pains me to think how many of our community members are falling victim to this every day. It has to stop.”
TRUMP’S UNPRECEDENTED CORRUPTION

A new report exposes that during his first year back in office, Trump made at least $1.4 billion. Other estimates suggest his family may have pulled in as much as $10 billion in that same time period.
Much of it is tied to crypto assets, meme coins, and other schemes that are nearly impossible to track—the same way money launderers, drug traffickers, and other criminals move cash around. The depth of corruption is unprecedented.
Just imagine their reaction if you showed a Trump fan this report and said it was about the Biden family.
CONTEMPT FOR BONDI

Speaking of corruption, just yesterday Dem Rep. Summer Lee introduced an amendment that would hold AG Pam Bondi in contempt.
Lee stated: “Since August, [Bondi] has been legally compelled by our bipartisan subpoena to release the full, unredacted Epstein files. Without the full files, we can’t have a serious investigation. It’s time she answers for her role in this cover-up.”

It was fitting that one year after Trump’s sad, poorly attended indoor coronation, he took a stack of his “accomplishments” and threw them on the floor in the White House press briefing room. The only thing more appropriate would have been tossing them straight into a trashcan, where they belong.
The press conference was supposed to highlight his first year back in office. Instead, Trump bumbled on nonsensically for more than an hour.
Afterward, his former Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham called the spectacle “low-energy” and “bizarre,” saying it proves Trump is “mentally slipping.” And former Trump attorney Ty Cobb said his cognitive decline at the presser was “palpable.”
NEWSOM SLAMS TRUMP AT DAVOS

Trump’s rant in Davos, Switzerland yesterday can be summed up as the ramblings of an unhinged tyrant going on and on about his personal grievances. He confused Greenland with Iceland, obsessed over his windmill lies, and sounded like a washed-up mobster issuing veiled threats to our allies. It was beyond pathetic—even for him.
CA Gov. Gavin Newsom, who was on the ground in Davos, responded immediately. Newsom said Trump’s meandering hour-long tirade was “boring and boorish,” and added that it was “significant in its insignificance.”
The next day, Newsom blasted Trump’s rampant abuses of power, asking: “How the hell are we putting up with this?” That is an excellent question.
We need to stop this regime—which is why we launched our Midterm Accountability Project. Hear hear! I'm hoping that my governor, Gavin Newsom's presence in Davos will show world leaders that TRump isn't who we are. It's comforting to know that most people in Europe and Canada understand that we are not TRump.

I just have to keep asking: Why are Republicans putting up with this? What are they so afraid of? You can't keep appeasing bullies, and I'm not just talking about the orange cheeto; I'm talking about his enablers. Someone has to stand up to Miller and the other minions.

We don't have until the midterms to end this nightmare. We need to get as many republican House members to switch parties as we can, and we need to do it immediately. There are several who are from purple state and worried about losing seats in November. We should relentlessly target them with emails and phone calls.
It may already be too late, now that ICE has grown so large and been given so much power. Today the Circuit Appeals Court put a hold on stopping the use of pepper spray and tear gas. They are killing people with impunity.
Be careful out there, and keep it peaceful no matter what.
I hope the judge made the ruling broad enough to include: BEAR SPRAY, FLASH BANGS, RUBBER BULLETS and anything else the ICE GESTAPO can find.

Yesterday I joined the walking monks on their march with their stop in Liberty, NC for lunch at the local fire station. The location choice to walk with the monks and then participate was simply perfect. The deep diversity and age range of the crowd was one of the most notable aspects. Turns out people I knew from all over the area joined to form the 2000 people there.
Monk Bhikkhu Pannakara, their leader, spoke for an hour. He has been a monk for 17 years and the past 3 he has been torn on how to leave his bubble of mostly local community support in Texas. The Walk is the solution. Two things keep them going, the breath and determination. And the Freedom inherent within.
During this hour dive into mindfulness, meditation, and philosophy, Pannakara was able to employ the techniques with the crowd. A woman probably fainted, so the medics were called (yes the fire station is adjacent). He immediately told us to close our eyes, to put both of our hands to our heart, to breathe deeply, and to feel our heartbeat. Together our energy joined. Many tears could be heard in the silence. He explained how tapping the breath to remain calm in this situation and in life are central pillars in walking through the fear.
We continue onward on each of our own and collective journeys in our resistance to those that are stoking those potential fears. For when we breath deeply and feel our hearts beating as we pause within the breath, we are all connected.
They didn't come through our area or we would have walked with them, too.

What a beautiful reminder that everything on earth is connected - we are on a web and trump’s violent, crazy, delusional vibrations are being felt by everyone, human, nonhuman, nature… Humans (not all), Americans in particular (not all), have lost this sensitive connection. Using might to overwhelm is not “right”. It is a merciless doctrine America has adopted under this “leader”. It makes me cringe, and it makes me furiously sad.
I am not surprised at the actions of ICE. They are racist untrained bullies.
Pam Bondi should not only be held in contempt but removed form office.
The ramblings of tRump at DAVOS just prove once again he is unfit for any office. Yet his groupies in Congress just keep supporting him. Karma will come for them.
Removing Bondi from office is only step one. They ALL need to be ousted, and then held accountable.

Watching Trump ramble about windmills and drop his “accomplishments” on the floor while calling it leadership is like watching a man lose an argument with gravity. Newsom nailed it. Boring, boorish, and significant only as a warning label. This isn’t strength unraveling. It’s confusion pretending to be authority, and the world is very clearly done pretending along with him.
My reaction to Trump’s latest pathetic prevarication performance as an American and a veteran, is embarrassment and shame in equal measure. I continue to demand that my congressional delegation (from both parties) end Trump’s reign of terror, error and crime.
No I am not. I am surprised that local enforcement officers haven't done said if ICE breaks local laws that they will be arrested.
I'm watching the Jack Smith hearings, and I think Gill the Shill has taken ugly lessons from drumpkopf and baldy Jordan.
