TORCHED: Walz Brutally Shreds Pam Bondi’s Unhinged Demand
Plus, public pressure forces Senate Dems to vote no on DHS funding, and judge blocks regime from destroying evidence
Today at 4:30pm ET, I’ll be having a live conversation with US Rep. Sarah McBride. We’ll have a lot to talk about. You won’t want to miss it. I’ll send an email to subscribers when we launch.
Every day at The Dworkin Report, we proudly cut through the Trump regime’s chaos, call out their propaganda and lies, and focus on what actually matters. I’m grateful you’re here—you showing up is not a small thing. It’s how movements like ours stay alive.
Let’s dive in.
RESTRAINING THE REGIME
A federal judge in Minnesota granted a temporary restraining order this weekend—blocking the Trump regime from destroying any evidence related to their killing of ICU nurse Alex Pretti.
Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison put it plainly: “Federal agents are not above the law and Alex Pretti is certainly not beneath it … A full, impartial, and transparent investigation into his fatal shooting at the hands of DHS agents is non-negotiable … Justice will be done.”
State and local leaders must never let the regime bury the truth about their crimes. They must be held accountable.
PUSHBACK AFTER ANOTHER KILLING
While Republicans responded to the killing of Alex Pretti by lying and blaming political rhetoric, the Trump regime is facing widespread condemnation from Democrats.
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed the regime’s “gross abuse of power” and “absolute breaching of the law.” Sen. Mark Kelly said: “Don’t let this White House lie to you. Believe what you see … It’s time for them to get the hell out of Minnesota.”
Others went even further. Rep. Seth Moulton said ICE was a bunch of “pathetic, untrained, unprofessional cowards” who need to be “defunded” and “prosecuted.” And Rep. Jasmine Crockett stated: “They are turning us into nazi Germany.”
Pete Buttigieg urged “libertarians and conservatives to step up and join the rest of us,” saying: “Americans have to unite and stop this descent … into the kind of place where masked, militarized government agents are sent to politically noncompliant areas to roam the streets, terrorize civilians, and deploy violence with impunity.”
California Gov. Gavin Newsom demanded “no new funding” for ICE, the removal of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and Border Patrol Chief Greg Bovino, and an end to the “lawless mass deportation raids,” and “sick racial profiling.”
TORCHING PAM BONDI’S DESPICABLE LETTER TO WALZ
Immediately following the killing of Alex Pretti, Trump’s AG Pam Bondi sent a bogus letter demanding that Minnesota turn over its voter data. Dem Sen. Chris Murphy slammed Bondi, saying the letter is proof that Trump’s invasion of states has “never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.”
And Gov. Tim Walz didn’t hold back in rejecting Bondi’s demand: “I would just give a pro tip to the attorney general. There’s 2 million documents in the Epstein files we’re still waiting on—go ahead and work on those.”
DEMS DRAW A LINE
Sen. Amy Klobuchar is pushing for Democrats to vote down the spending bill if it funds DHS—a move that was driven almost entirely by our relentless public pressure.
When asked about the regime’s lies regarding Alex Pretti’s killing, Klobuchar stated: “When I hear the [Trump regime] describe this video in ways that simply aren’t true, I just keep thinking, ‘Your eyes don’t lie.’” She added that ICE is “making us less safe,” and their actions are “completely against every tenet of law enforcement.”
Sen. Klobuchar is right—our eyes don’t lie. We all saw exactly what happened. And there’s no way we’re going to let the Trump regime gaslight us into silence.
Democrats are standing firm because we make it impossible for them to look away. Your phone calls, letters, emails, and protests—they all add up. And they feel it. I know, because they’ve told me.
That’s why we started our Midterm Accountability Project—to cut through the noise daily, reach millions with stories the regime wants buried, and flood Congress with contacts from their constituents. We keep the pressure on constantly, while dominating social media and generating billions of impressions against Trump monthly.

Defund ICE! Renee Good and Jeffrey Pretti gave their lives defending democracy and fighting fascism. I wrote a poem as a tribute to Pretti: https://democracydefender2025.substack.com/p/jeffrey-pretti-poem
I hope the families of Renee Good and Jeffrey Pretti will SUE the shit out of The felon n chief for DEFAMATION! Hit him where he knows best - the court room! How dare this lowlife defame these most courageous Americans calling them domestic terrorist and assassins within minutes of the incidents! SHOOT first, Lie and Judge second! how dare this POS POTUS! Shameful!
They also need to sue Noem, Bovine, and Homeland Security.
I wrote two letters to Congress,to my reps there. i also added a suggestion that, while de- funding, ICE they should allocate just enough funds to ship the entre malignant Administration in company of the ICE agents to the hell holes for "re-education". sfr
Big “Wrongful Death” lawsuits against HHS should be forthcoming.
I bet the government will be throwing money at the families soon.
At a protest rally yesterday, in a snow storm and 19° weather, we stood strong with our signs and music and chants here in Fort Collins (CO). Many people honked in support. Those who gave us the finger make me sad. To believe the atrocious lies from the government about these executions, instead of one’s own eyes, must make for a dissonance within that these people may never recover from.
My sign said, WE KNOW WHAT WE SAW.

Jan. 6 attack ‘does not happen’ without Trump, Jack Smith told Congress
“The Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol “does not happen” without Donald Trump, former special counsel Jack Smith told lawmakers earlier this month in characterizing the Republican president as the “most culpable and most responsible person” in the criminal conspiracy to overturn the results of the 2020 election.
“The evidence here made clear that President Trump was by a large measure the most culpable and most responsible person in this conspiracy. These crimes were committed for his benefit. The attack that happened at the Capitol, part of this case, does not happen without him. The other co-conspirators were doing this for his benefit,” said Smith” — PBS

Do not waste energy trying to convince anyone on the MAGA Right with facts. Don’t engage with the vile regime propaganda as if it was advanced in good faith. It was never meant to stand up to scrutiny, only to muddy the waters, give the rightwing media machine its marching orders, and tell the MAGA faithful what to believe. Trump, Noem, and Vance are not making factual contentions at all. They are presenting purely ideological assertions about how they want the world to work.
For years, all strands of the Right – elected officials, the media machine, the intellectual sphere, the base – have been openly embracing and clamoring for state and vigilante violence if it is directed against anything and anyone associated with “the Left.” — Democracy Americana

THE COALITION ON HUMAN NEEDS is soliciting donations to work to fund issues that take care of Americans.
Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey is soliciting citizen co-sponsors for his bill:
I was introducing a bill to end Qualified Immunity for ICE and federal law enforcement, so that victims of ICE’s brutality and civil rights abuses can sue for justice.
this bill is so important because we are watching in real time as ICE and DHS tear the Constitution to shreds.
Whether it’s arresting people for free speech, detaining people based on their race or their accent, entering cars and homes without a proper warrant, or detaining US citizens without even allowing them to prove their citizenship, our civil rights have been thrown to the wind by Trump’s administration.
And right now, it’s almost impossible to hold these ICE officers accountable when they violate your rights, especially as the administration does everything they can to shield them from facing scrutiny and justice.
My bill would strip ICE of their immunity to civil suits, meaning those who experience any of these blatant civil rights violations could take the offending officers to court and seek justice and restitution. It would send a powerful message to federal agents: You are not above the law.
