If that makes me a “weirdo” so be it.

You know what I think is weird?

Republicans think making sure veterans, seniors, and kids in America don't go hungry makes me a 'hunger weirdo'.

We know food prices are especially high right now, and when we call it out and ask for expansion of vital programs that fight hunger, we are somehow the radical ones? Republicans are more than happy to explode the deficit to cut taxes for the wealthy but don't want to spend one more dime bolstering programs that feed the hungry. Since President Biden boosted SNAP benefits – at the direction of Congress – the GOP has done everything in its power to interfere and try to roll back this small but meaningful increase in food benefits.

The GOP is trying to advance a bill that cuts SNAP by $30 billion, preventing future updates to benefit levels based on modern diets and the best available science. This is just morally wrong!

Make it make sense...

Let's change the balance of power in Congress and help Democrats make further progress in support of American families. Chip in $3 right now!

Protecting human rights is what elected officials in America are responsible for and I believe food is a human right. So when the GOP calls me a 'hunger weirdo' I say thank you.

My Democratic colleagues and I have done everything in our power to make life easier and food more accessible for New Englanders, from working to ensure that apple farmers have access to adequate insurance to fighting the Trump administration's attempts to slash public program funding. Our work will not stop until every American has access to enough healthy food.

Meanwhile, all the Republican party seems to do is try and destabilize the economy, spread lies about vaccines, try to overturn a free and fair election, and take food off the plates of hungry people. We cannot allow them to win in November. Not in Congress, not in the White House. Please chip in and help me keep fighting for food equity and economic justice in Congress.
