Bernie Sanders is loud and clear that he will boycott Netanyahu’s speech in front of Congress. Pramila Jayapal and other pro-Peace progressives have said several other Democrats will join them to boycott and protest the speech. So, why did the Democratic leaders in the House and Senate invite Netanyahu to speak? Why, as the Israeli military kills tens of thousands of Palestinians and causes mass starvation in Gaza, did Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries give Netanyahu a platform in Congress? There’s no good, moral, or political explanation — and that’s why we’re speaking out. Add your name: Demand that Schumer and Jeffries withdraw their invitation to Netanyahu. No Democrats should support this speech! Schumer and Jeffries have given great legitimacy to Netanyahu’s regime AND handed the right-wing liars in Congress major political points. Schumer and Jeffries never should have signed their names alongside Johnson and Mitch McConnell. It’s a gift to the GOP and the head of the regime killing so many people in Gaza.
