Trump had a much closer relationship with Epstein as we are getting even more photos released by the Oversight Committee.

With just 24 hours remaining before the U.S. Department of Justice is required to release the long-anticipated Epstein files, new material is already shedding light on what the public may soon confront. Today, the House Oversight Committee released an additional 70 photographs connected to the Epstein investigation. Warning, before you click the next link, some of the images can be very triggering for anyone who is a survivor of abuse. I will link to those images here and highlight several that stand out for their significance and gravity.
First, the newly released photographs include further documentation of Epstein’s interactions with Steve Bannon, who served as a senior advisor to Donald Trump. The nature, frequency, and context of that relationship raise questions that warrant far deeper scrutiny. These images add to a growing body of evidence that Epstein’s social and political reach extended well into influential circles, underscoring the need for a comprehensive accounting of who knew him, who associated with him, and under what circumstances.

Second, a substantial portion of the new material consists of photographs of heavily redacted passports belonging to young girls who are survivors of Epstein’s trafficking operation. While the redactions are necessary to protect victims’ identities, the images themselves are a stark reminder that this case is not abstract or historical—it centers on real children whose lives were profoundly harmed. The presence of these documents within congressional records underscores the international dimensions of the trafficking network and the vulnerabilities exploited by Epstein and his associates.

Third, among the most disturbing releases is a WhatsApp text chain. The messages appear to discuss the movement and trafficking of a young girl, offering a chilling glimpse into how Epstein’s operation may have functioned in real time.

The casual tone of the messages, juxtaposed with their apparent subject matter, is deeply unsettling and illustrates why so much of the forthcoming DOJ release will necessarily be redacted. Child sexual abuse material cannot—and should not—be made public, even as the public seeks accountability.
These 70 photographs likely represent only a small fraction of what will emerge when the DOJ files are released tomorrow. There will be extensive redactions, both to protect survivors and to comply with the law. Still, the scope and seriousness of what remains visible should help clarify the scale of Epstein’s network and the failures that allowed it to persist for so long.
I plan to spend the entire weekend reviewing the released materials in detail and speaking directly with survivors and lawmakers. The goal is to provide as complete and accurate an account as possible, grounded in verified documents and firsthand testimony, so that the public receives the full truth rather than fragments taken out of context.
All of this comes as new reporting adds further context to Epstein’s social world. The New York Times reported this morning that Donald Trump and Jeffrey Epstein had a far closer, longer, and more intertwined relationship from the late 1980s through the early 2000s than Trump has publicly acknowledged. According to dozens of interviews, along with documents, photographs, calendars, and emails, the two men socialized frequently, shared party circuits in New York and Florida, and maintained regular contact. Epstein reportedly often acted as Trump’s “wingman,” particularly in social settings involving young women.
Witnesses cited by the Times recall Trump being a routine presence in Epstein’s life, with meetings and encounters at Mar-a-Lago, Trump Tower, Epstein’s Manhattan mansion, and various social events. These accounts stand in tension with later denials that minimized the relationship.
The reporting also notes that at least six women who later accused Epstein or Ghislaine Maxwell of grooming or abuse were introduced to Trump through Epstein or encountered him at Epstein-hosted gatherings. None of these women accuse Trump of abusing minors. However, several describe Trump attending events where Epstein allegedly directed women to have sex with other men.
Additionally, multiple women and former employees describe a broader culture of sexualized behavior surrounding Epstein, in which Trump is alleged to have participated—through leering, groping, or explicit conversations. Trump has denied these accounts. At the same time, nearly 20 women have publicly accused him of sexual misconduct over the years, including in the civil case brought by E. Jean Carroll.
As the DOJ release approaches, today’s photographs and the accumulating reporting serve as a sobering reminder of what is at stake: accountability for powerful figures, transparency from institutions, and—above all—justice and protection for survivors. The coming days will not answer every question, but they may finally begin to illuminate a system that for too long operated in the shadows.
