Here’s something I didn’t expect about being in Congress: the amount of attention that photos of me taking a rideshare to work would get. (I also love taking a scooter!) But I get it. This isn’t the typical way members get to the Capitol. Actually, there’s a few things I do a bit differently. - As a longtime organizer, I run a year-round organizing program that builds young, progressive power across Florida, 24/7/365.
- As the only Gen Z member, I personally know what it's like to be a part of the gun violence generation. Fighting to end gun violence IS personal to me.
- As someone who grew up working class and drove for Uber just to make ends meet while running for Congress, I know the policies we need to uplift working class folks - not demonize them.
And on top of it all, I don’t take Corporate PAC or special interest dollars. I got here by relying on people like you. Together, we built a youth-powered, grassroots movement – one dollar at a time. Yet, a lot of people still think that because I do things a bit differently (or honestly, because I’m young and wasn’t born rich) that I don’t deserve to be here at all. But I know that with your help, I’ll stay here the same way I got here: one dollar at a time. So please, will you make a $1 donation today so I can keep fighting in Congress for all of us - not just the few? >> If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:Grateful for your support,
