What Stacey would veto

Stacey Abrams for Governor

We talk a lot about how, as governor, Stacey Abrams will invest in our state and build One Georgia.

But there’s one tool Stacey would have that we don’t talk about enough: veto power.

As governor, Stacey will be able to veto extreme bills that attack and divide Georgians — and threaten our state’s economic well-being.

We have already seen what kind of bills Brian Kemp will sign into law. Please, can you make your next donation today to ensure Georgia has a real leader who will use her veto power to fight for and to protect Georgians?

Here are just some of the bills Brian Kemp has signed, that Stacey would have vetoed:
  • Voter suppression laws, which Kemp bragged about pushing after seeing Joe Biden, Raphael Warnock, and Jon Ossoff win their elections
  • A law censoring teachers and asking them to hide history from students
  • The most extreme anti-abortion law in the country, which banned abortion after just 6 weeks (and is thankfully blocked by a federal court right now)
  • Kemp’s criminal carry law, which makes it easier for anyone to carry a loaded, concealed weapon without a permit
  • A law seeking to ban trans students from playing sports with their friends, telling our most vulnerable children that they don’t belong

Under Governor Stacey Abrams, none of those bills would become law.

Not only do these bills attack Georgians personally, but by signing them, Kemp also threatens to drive away employers like the film industry, professional sports and more.

Georgia deserves a champion who will fight for our rights, not a politician willing to do whatever it takes and hurt whoever he needs to hold onto his power.

But to win in November, we need your help right now. Make your next donation to elect Stacey Abrams today.

Thank you,

Team Abrams
