The Washington Post gives us a great recap of why America’s mayor should be disbarred: “Giuliani’s bizarre news conferences and literal meltdown became fodder for late-night talk show hosts, while his even more bizarre legal arguments have prompted federal judges to unleash withering rebukes.” We can’t think of anyone more unprofessional -- or more damaging to democracy -- on a presidential campaign. We don’t want Rudy practicing law any more after this travesty of justice is over. And Democratic Congressman Bill Pascrell Jr. agrees; he’s already filed complaints against Rudy and his team in 5 states, demanding their legal licenses be revoked for “conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit, or misrepresentation.” We’re with Rep. Pascrell all the way. But disbarring a lawyer is incredibly rare. Once it’s done, however, the disgraced attorney is essentially shut out of court for the rest of their days -- unless they’re coming to the courtroom as a defendant. Will you help us send a message to the American Bar Association that we the people don’t want Rudy trying any more cases anytime soon? Thank you for making your voice heard. Thank you for standing with us. The most crucial elections, the ones that will decide whether Mitch McConnell has a ton of power in the Senate or is kept under control by Democrats, have yet to occur. They’re the Georgia runoffs, and they take place January 5.
Right-wing special interests are pumping money into these races in a last-ditch effort to keep the Senate red and take away Joe Biden’s ability to govern as president. Mitch McConnell, Rudy Giuliani, and the whole Trump team would love nothing more than to see that happen.
With the stakes of the battle for Congress so high, we MUST fight back. We must increase our support for progressive causes and candidates. But our coffers are depleted, and many grassroots supporters have stopped paying attention since November 3 and thus stopped their giving.
Please, you remember how tough it was for Obama to get anything done with a Republican Senate. We can’t let that happen again under Joe Biden. We need to finish strong and fight to the last. We’re doing everything we can — but our work to push back against right-wing interests fighting to keep the Senate red would be massively amplified with your help.
