Pennsylvania Groups Ask Supreme Court To Decide Undated Mail-in Ballots Case

Pennsylvania pro-voter organizations ask the U.S. Supreme Court to rule on whether rejecting timely returned mail-in ballots with date issues violates the Civil Rights Act. Another, similar case is also pending before the state Supreme Court.


Over the past few years, at least 12 lawsuits in both state and federal courts have involved disputes over the battleground state’s controversial handwritten date requirement, which resulted in the disqualification of over 10,000 mail-in ballots during the 2022 midterm elections alone.
