Blocked

Charles Booker

We can’t let this continue.

Just moments ago, Rand Paul and his Republican colleagues filibustered and blocked the passage of the For the People Act.

Let’s make this clear: The right to vote isn’t a partisan issue.

So now we have a choice:

  • We either let corrupt politicians like Rand Paul continue to disenfranchise the voices of the American people
  • Or we channel our grassroots power this upcoming election to elect a leader who will proudly vote to save our democracy.

Today is an urgent reminder why it’s critical we flip Kentucky in 2022 and make sure Charles Booker has the grassroots support he needs to take on Rand Paul.

Can you rush another $10 contribution to say you want to see Charles Booker run in Kentucky? Every dollar moves us closer to building a movement that will end the filibuster and fight proudly for people-first priorities like voter protections.

The For the People Act would’ve expanded automatic and same-day voter registration and voting access, including vote-by-mail and early voting. We know these measures work to increase voter turnout, but that’s what Trump allies like Rand Paul are scared of.

For too long, Rand Paul has leveraged his power to stifle our voices and suppress our right to vote. He knows that folks in Kentucky are ready for real change and he’ll use any tool he has to make sure our votes don’t go against him.

We can’t afford to continue re-electing leaders who stand in the way of our democratic values and have repeatedly filibustered bills that would lift up working people in Kentucky and beyond.

That’s why Charles is seriously thinking about taking on Rand Paul.

Your contribution today will help build our powerful, grassroots movement to take back Kentucky’s seat at the table and build a better democracy that works for all of us — can we count on you to chip in today?

Let’s do this,

Team Booker
