REASONABLE EXPLANATION!
If you're mad about Donald Trump and the damage he's done to American politics, you need to direct your anger at the Supreme Court. Their decision in Bush v Gore paved the way for Donald Trump to enter politics decades ago, by allowing a completely incompetent and irresponsible Republican to win that race by halting the ballot counting in Florida. They put us on this path, and Trump is their end result. Farron Cousins explains how this happened.

You know, I've been doing these Q and as, um, for for many years now. You know, putting out there, asking for questions. And honestly, and this is kind of amazing, like one of the most common questions I get every time I ask for questions for q and a, I get this question asked multiple times by multiple different people every time I do it. And the question is this, this one in particular happens to come from, uh, Donovan Finley 8 1 3 1. And I know, I'm pretty sure 'cause I recognize that name. I think I've answered your questions in the past. But Donovan Finley asks, how does the Republican party change after Trump is gone? They've shown how far they're willing to go to accommodate a narcissistic want to dictator, convicted felon. So can they move past him when he's gone? Or is it just who they are forever or at least until their eventual collapse?
I think the answer is yes and no. Yes, they fall apart and no, they don't fall apart. And here's what I mean by that. Donald Trump has exposed a lot of the rot that has existed for decades within the Republican party going back all the way to Nixon, right? Republicans like, oh no, Nixon is a bad guy, he's a criminal, but we're, we're done with him. We right, we're just, we're just your normal Republicans all, we just wanted some tax cuts around here. We're we're totally the good guys. Well they weren't. They had the covert racism, you know, covert xenophobia, taking all the corporate money, letting corporations pollute everything. But they did it all behind the scenes. The only difference between the Republican party of Old and the Republican Party of Donald Trump is that Trump does it out in the open. And because of that, he has inspired other Republicans to also do it white out in the open.
And these Republicans aren't being punished for it. Trump aligned Republican members of Congress, members of the Senate do win elections. They win elections using his same rhetoric and sometimes using rhetoric that's even far harsher than he uses. Those people are not gonna suddenly start losing elections once Donald Trump is gone. Something has been awakened in this new Republican party. So when Trump is gone, this new thing that it's become continues to survive, the question is, is it worth saving? And the answer of course is no. So what I believe happens, and again this is probably 10, 20 years down the road, may, maybe sooner maybe, but we start to see the fracturing of this party. And we've already seen it by the way, on the left. We have seen it happening since the 2016 election. A fracturing where you've got the, you know, hardcore kind of Bernie Sanders progressives versus the more establishment moderate Democrats.
Now over here you've got the moderate establishment Republicans and then the back crap crazy people. And there's plenty of people in that back crap crazy category. Enough to where if the party were to break and fracture, you would have two separate parties. So that's why it's yes and no, the party survives, but it survives as two separate things. And maybe that's not a bad thing. We need more viable political parties here in the United States. Viable being the key word. So if we were to have a moderate Democrat party, a moderate Republican party, a further left progressive party and a way far crazy right? Um, crazy party, we'll call it. I think it's apt description. That may not be a bad thing. We could have multiple different parties, we could have multiple different viewpoints, multiple different kinds of people being elected and working together. 'cause I don't think many people over here would end up being elected, but we could start to see real change. So that would actually be a good thing. So maybe Donald Trump destroying the Republican party might be what finally gives us better choices in elections in the future.
