Good grief, that whole 150-year-old recipient thing has been debunked by computer programmers who understand COBOL. They use the year 1875 as a default year when they don't know the year someone was born. Social security is the most efficient department, according to Lawrence O'Donnell.

I’m a former SSA employee retired now. I worked in Security where we watched the systems and records. Employees have been fired for looking at records that was not a part of their workload, but it’s ok for a regular citizen to look at vital information on SSA records. This is ridiculous.

I saw some news, that said the 1875 birthday is just a place holder for if they don't know the person's birthday. And it doesn't mean that a person who is 150 years old is receiving social security.

My husband died with kidney cancer— I’m 76 years of age and I have his Social Security as my only source of income. This is stressing me out, I am alone in the world and this keeps going on and on and on —the government is literally taking action against the citizens of its own country— by threatening the most vulnerable people living. Every time there’s talk about ditching Social Security or decreasing the benefits —it is a threat to all seniors. I am Imagine many people have stopped listening to any news because they can’t stand to hear it anymore. Do you know what it’s like to wake up in the morning and wonder whether or not you still have any income? No one is even considering what this is doing to us.
