My Revisionist Religion according to the Gospel of Political Discourse: I am a Christian (it says so in my Info and I often tell it to others). In my attempts to be Christ-like during the coming campaign months, I will engage in hate-speech, fear-mongering and Holy "smoke-screen" tactics and issues...The Golden Rule is for sissies. I will only bear false witness against my enemies if it bears repeating...I will engage in personal attacks on those with whom I disagree (and their families) because a discussion of policy might require that I know what I am talking about and it's easier just to mock something than to try to understand it...Lies, innuendos and propaganda were used to crucify Christ so "back at ya". I will publicly chastise anyone with whom I disagree...My stones and "shares" and memes are locked and loaded, let's get to throwing.

Also in my attempts to be Christ-like during the campaign, I will demonize other religions/denominations and I will shun and chastize the non-believers...God only hears the prayers of my kind and when my prayers are not answered, it is the devil's work because I have no personal responsibility for the world the way it is. I will profess the Bible and the Constitution to be the same in God's eyes...The Founding Fathers were obviously in a rush and forgot to quote from the Bible or use His name in the text so we need a "do-over".

Then, I will deny all science except the science that I use which is all science but some is secret science and doesn't require my understanding of science unless it becomes political science in which it is probably bad science and not God's science because science is hard... I need others to apply their religious logic to what is good science and what is the devil's science and tell me what I can logically believe and what I can't... And, to some, it is not logical or good religious economics/political science to believe that The Creator, God Himself, was the ultimate scientist and that in his omnipotent power, all things are possible... That's just too difficult to believe and science is best interpreted in a "box" of understanding... If I can't understand it and explain what I wish it to mean, then it must not be true.

Finally, in my attempts to be Christ-like during the campaign, I will judge the good people and the evil, dumb, treacherous, un-American people in terms of political labels which separate "them" from "us"...You know who you are..."Judge not lest you be judged" is a huge job for God alone. He cannot possibly know everything that I know because I have cable and internet. I will shop thru the Bible to find a specific, selected verse that says what I want it to say. Other verses that may contradict my political ideology are to be ignored . If you feed the poor you are a saint, (the Bible says so) BUT, if you ask why they are poor, then you must be a Communist because poor people are "the takers" and should be labeled as such. The fact that Christ was poor, had no job, lived on the charity of others is irrelevant to my new Christian politics...
