TAMMY DUCKWORTH IS AN AMERICAN HERO!
PLEASE SUPPORT HER!
See this little girl?
Growing up, this little girl learned that through hard work and perseverance, she could break barriers and accomplish anything she set her mind to.
So after enlisting in the military, she trained to become a pilot, and served as one of the first handful of Army women to fly combat missions in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In 2004, her Black Hawk helicopter was shot down over Iraq, costing her both legs and partial use of her right arm. She spent long, painful months at Walter Reed, undergoing surgeries and intensive physical therapy to relearn how to walk on her new prosthetic legs.
But Tammy is as tough as they come. And so she turned these experiences into an opportunity to become a champion for Veterans. She ran for Congress, and in 2016 won a seat in the U.S. Senate — where she is still breaking down barriers.
In 2018, she became the first Senator to give birth while serving in office and the first to bring an infant onto the Senate floor, so she could care for her child and do her job serving the people of Illinois at the same time.
With the help of her family, her community and countless supporters across the nation, Tammy has overcome so many obstacles as she continues to be a fierce advocate for our troops, Veterans and military families.
Right now, she's counting on this team once again — to hit our fundraising deadline goals for August, and help defend our Senate majority in 2024. So please:
