It’s officially crunchtime.
Now that we’re out of the primary, we’re officially in the race to beat Rand Paul. Team Booker is driving all across Kentucky, knocking on doors, putting up yard signs, meeting voters, and making sure anyone who’s hungry for meaningful change in our Commonwealth turns out to vote.
Here’s photos of Team Booker at Hillbilly Days in Eastern Kentucky that we attended to share our plan to replace Rand Paul:
When you gave $10.00 this is what your contribution helped fuel. From the signs we print, to the volunteers we train to speak with voters, to the gas we put in our cars to travel across Kentucky — everything is funded by grassroots supporters like you.
To give you an idea of how much it costs to run some of the plans that we have, here’s a quick overview by the numbers.
- $0.05: The price of reaching one voter in Kentucky. If you chip in $15, we’ll be able to reach 300 Kentuckians. Even $1.50 allows us to reach 30 Kentuckians who may have never heard of Charles Booker before.
- $15.28: The price of funding one voter registration team. Each of our voter registration teams get clipboards, pens, printed materials to share with voters, and training from our organizing team.
- $47.59: The price of gas to drive 395 miles — from the furthest point of Kentucky to the other. Our staff and volunteers will be doing a lot of driving to reach every corner of Kentucky to do our organizing work. Contributions from our grassroots team, of any amount, will literally fuel our work.
This is where the money goes. Because we don’t accept a single cent from corporate PACs or special interests, we’re relying on support from you to afford these expenses.
So we have to ask one final time: Will you please chip in again whatever you can afford so we can fund our important organizing work? We’re aiming to raise 7,500 grassroots contributions by the end of the week.
Together,
Team Booker
