The Ring of Fire
Following the debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and convicted felon Donald Trump, Republicans claimed that they had an affidavit from an alleged “ABC Whistleblower” who claimed that Harris had received the debate questions in advance. This conspiracy theory blew up on social media and on conservative media, even prompting a hearing in the Republican-controlled Congress. And then, just as quickly as the story emerged, it completely disappeared – and now we know why. Some of the peddlers of this story have now admitted that it appears to be fake, but they don’t want that news becoming a big story. Ring of Fire’s Farron Cousins explains what happened. Do y'all remember a couple weeks ago when the biggest news story in this country, according to Republicans and conservative media, of course, was the fact that we had an affidavit from a whistleblower who worked at a b, C news. And in that affidavit, this alleged, a BC whistleblower said that Vice President Kamala Harris was given the debate questions in advance. Oh my god. Social media was buzzing with images of this affidavit that, of course was filled with typos and blacked out parts, and all kinds of things that easily could have been created on anybody's computer. Uh, but you know, it was allegedly from a whistleblower Republicans, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Ted Cruz, Elon Musk, all the right wing personalities. Benny Johnson, everybody hyping this up, Meghan Kelly telling us that, oh man, this guy has audio tapes, and if he's got audio tapes, this is over. It's done. Donald Trump telling us that a b, C news should lose their license and face a criminal investigation. Republicans in the House of Representatives held a hearing on this. Holy hell, it was a big story, and then it literally disappeared overnight. Weird. Huh? Don't you find that odd? Don't, don't you think that's a little suspicious? Like what happened to the story? Y'all wouldn't shut the hell up about it for weeks. Um, and then suddenly you just stopped. Well, it turns out there's a reason why they stopped, because Republicans, a couple of them have sheepishly admitted on social media that, oops, it appears to be totally fake. Totally and completely, 100% fake. Now, the question I have, of course is have you seen this reported on CNN or hell, even M-S-N-B-C, I mean, has A, B, C talked about it. NBC News, CBS, Fox News, Newsmax, they were hyping this up like crazy. Where's the follow up? Come on, guys. You can't just launch a conspiracy theory and then go dead silent when it gets completely debunked and revealed to be a fraud. But of course they do. This was a big story for Republicans. Again, here's the list of some of the people who are promoting it. Ted Cruz, Marjorie Taylor, Greene, libs of TikTok, uh, Benny Johnson, billionaire, bill Ackman, Elon Musk. Where's your corrections? Where's your retractions? Lemme tell you. A, b, c news. Oh boy. Guys, y'all wanna get some more money in your pockets for free, Sue, each and every one of these A-holes, Let me tell you, there's actually a great story in Mediaite. You can find the link in the description of this video. Uh, but they talk about the fact that this whole thing, of course, has now been debunked, proven to be a total fraud. And if I can, uh, find this real quick, um, because the, the website, where the affidavit originated, was from a website called County Local News. County Local News, like that's, that's what they called this little fake website where they posted this trash. And all of these Republicans, Donald Trump included billionaires, Elon Musk, bill Ackman, all pushing it tarnishing a, B, C, News's reputation.
