Even his mother, Cecilia Klein, was unaware of her son's arrest until she was contacted by Politico for comment, highlighting the secretive nature of his involvement.
Before his role as a special assistant in the State Department's Bureau of Western Hemisphere Affairs in 2017, Klein worked on Donald Trump's 2016 presidential campaign. This history underscores the connections between the Trump campaign and those who later participated in the events of January 6.
