It has been interesting to see when people decided the war in the Middle East became immoral. What was the threshold, that when crossed, triggered it? For me the immorality occurred when White Europeans decided the “New Land” they “discovered” belonged to them.
A United Nations, that decided an occupied land should belong to a particular group people, was the same “recipe for disaster” the moment they decided to borrow the recipe.
Land is a form of capital. The “One God” of Judism, Islam, and Christianity declared a different perspective about land and capital when it was purported that God said: “The whole earth/planet is the Lord’s. And the fullness thereof. The earth and
and everyone on it.” Therefore, “We own none of it”.
Perhaps Abraham was hard of hearing (or just being human), when he heard God promise that one particular spot on the globe would exclusively belong to him and his descendants. The balance Iof the Scriptures says otherwise.
From the beginning of time, the issue of “imminent domain” has constantly caused inherent problems, enmity, and catastrophe for humanity. Perhaps we were meant to be mere stewards of capital after all; And all capital should be designated for “The Commom Good”, not for some.
