Tonight, Miami made history.
For the first time in nearly three decades, voters chose new leadership, and in doing so, showed the entire country what’s possible when Floridians come together.
This victory belongs to every volunteer and organizer who gave their all, every supporter who believed in a better future for this city, and every voter who showed up and made their voice heard.
Eileen Higgins ran on a promise that the City of Miami should work for everyone who calls it home, and with her as Mayor, that promise will be fulfilled.
This moment is so much bigger than one election. It’s a reminder that when we organize early, often, and everywhere, we can change the story of what’s possible in Florida. If you can, chip in to keep this momentum going and power the next phase of our organizing across Florida. This is only the beginning as we head into 2026, and we have to be ready for more fights ahead.
