This week, Senate Republicans have brought up the SAVE America Act for votes.

The SAVE America Act will block millions of Americans from voting who can legally vote. Millions of service members around the world, seniors who have been voting legally for decades, and women who changed their name when they got married won’t be able to vote.

We should be making it easier for people to vote, not harder.

And let’s be clear on what this is really about: President Trump sees that his approval ratings are plummeting because of his terrible policies, and he wants to tip the scales ahead of the midterm elections this year.

Voting is a fundamental right in this country. I believe we will defeat this bill and protect voting rights for millions of people.
