One Big Bullshit Bill

 

Senate Republicans are trying to ram through a budget bill that would rip away health care coverage from millions of Americans. They know how devastating it is –– and they are doing it anyway.

This week, the most vulnerable GOP Senator, Thom Tillis, was scrambling behind the scenes. He went around the Republican caucus sharing a report that said “Medicaid coverage for over 600,000 North Carolinians will be at risk” under the Senate’s proposal.

And here’s what Mitch McConnell, who represents one of the most Medicaid-dependent states in the country, had to say:

Millions of Americans won’t just ‘get over it’– they will be forced to make impossible choices about their health care, burdened by debilitating costs, all so Republicans can hand out more tax breaks to the wealthy.

Republicans’ One Big Bullshit Bill proves what we’ve known all along: They don’t care about you.
