I'm a Georgian. This is exactly why Jon Ossoff is so popular in Georgia. He will be re-elected when his term is up. That is, if Georgia voters are allowed to vote & choose their rep without Republicans' interferrance and cheating. Senators Ossoff & Warnock are beloved by Georgians because they are fighting for their constituents' interests, not their own. It has been rumored that Marge Greene has said she would run against Ossoff for the senate seat next year. Most Georgians despise the loud mouthed bully who has done nothing for Georgians, but has increased her wealth of millions to billions in the years she has been in Congress. Greene will lose in a fight for Ossoff's seat - unless the GOP cheats AGAIN to GIVE her the seat. In a fair election, without the Republicans "tipping the scales" or blatantly cheating, Senator Ossoff will retain his senate seat. Georgians admire and trust him because he has fought for Georgians' interests, as is shown in this clip. However, with the Republicans having created our very suppressive election laws, and with the certification process in their hands, I expect manipulations and shady tactics will be used to try to give his Republican opponent - whoever it might be - the "win". The Republicans always say before every election, "Vote Republican because we can't let a Democrat win the seat." I am not exaggerating. That is a word for word quote they use for every election. I am wondering why Republicans can't just put up good, qualified candidates to run in elections, rather than running crappy candidates like Greene, Herschal Walker (football great, but not a great intellect), or David Perdue (of "inside trading" fame, and from the Perdue chicken family of billionaires. Poor Perdue really needed to use insider trading to boost his small billion dollar income. When Ossoff exposed Perdue's insider trading, Perdue's popularity tanked. Even some Republicans refused to vote for him.) As for our governor, Kemp, running for Ossoff's seat, I doubt he would win against Ossoff, either - that is unless he could get Raffensberger to purge another 187,000 voters from the registered voters roll. Yes, Brad Raffensberger, you know, the one who is supposed to have "integrity" for telling Trump "No" - is the one who illegally "helped" Kemp win the governorship by purging over 187,000 legally registered voters from the roll. He will swear to you that Democrats were not targeted in that purge. Funny thing, though. NOT ONE Republican was purged, but close to 200,000 Democrats were. I'm sure Raffensberger would clain that was just a "coincidence". The Georgia GOP is desperate to keep their power in Georgia. They know that the majority of Georgians are now voting Blue (and have been for several years now). Republicans are terrified that they are losing their power in Georgia. They are right to be afraid. Power is shifting. In a fair, unmanipulated election, the majority of Georgians are voting Democrats into office. I do not believe for 1 minute that Trump won Georgia in 2024. As usual, the GOP had to cheat to "win".
