In Yellowstone’s iconic bison herd, its youngest calves are truly special. They’re the future of a species that was almost entirely wiped out by humans – and now, after decades of incredible teamwork, bison are once again roaming the landscape. But this inspiring story could soon take a dark turn: the State of Montana is suing to stop the expansion of bison and cut the herd almost in half. If they win, roughly 3,000 bison could be sent to slaughter. We’re fighting for a world where this year’s bison calves can carry on the project of bison recovery through their full lifetimes.
