Stopping Safety

Automakers are pulling out all the stops to delay implementation of effective automatic emergency braking in all US cars by 2029. In this week’s podcast, we take a look at the contradictory messaging from industry on safety technology, plus the government’s hands-off approach to vehicle design, and a slew of new recalls.

And in the news, as summer heats up, technology that could prevent heat stroke deaths is getting the cold shoulder from automakers, and escaping electric vehicles is not as easy as you might think.
