Center for Auto Safety Headlines
Here is a summary of the latest news from the nation’s premier independent, member driven, non-profit consumer advocacy organization dedicated to improving vehicle safety, quality, and fuel economy on behalf of all drivers, passengers, and pedestrians.
This week the Center spoke about the troubling 2021 crash data reported by NHTSA , and how the United States can address the rising death and injury toll. We also discussed the NHTSA investigation of another disturbing Tesla crash that killed 3 occupants and injured 3 construction workers in Newport Beach, CA.
For the second week in a row, a serious school bus crash occurred, this time on a Charlotte, NC bus that was out of compliance with federal standards due to failure to address an open recall. We suggested what government, local school districts, and parents can do to make sure their kids ride safely.
